Torpedo Factory scale saves 10 pounds

Forget Ozempic. I have a better way to lose 10 pounds – step on the scale at the Torpedo Factory.

The scale was used to weigh bombs when the Potomac River-side factory in Old Town Alexandria was a production plant during World War II. Today, the facility is for artists and open daily to the public.

I’ve found the scale shows me 10 pounds lighter. Maybe it’s the thrilling tour I’d just given that ends at the Torpedo Factory. Then I wander over to King St. for lunch and break even.

Fair warning – it’s a big scale and everyone can see what you weigh.
