When becoming a licensed Washington tour guide two years ago, my mentor Maricar Donato said find a niche. Something special I could provide that others don’t.
Introducing Capital Photo History Tours.
Local photographer Angela B. Pan, whose work like the Vietnam Wall above just blows me away, and I conduct three-hour tours around town that combine history and photography. She’ll tell you how to turn mundane photos into works of art and I’ll explain why the site is important. (I was actually a newspaper photographer once back in the days of black and white film.)
Nobody in town combines a licensed guide and photographer in one tour.
Ultimately, this is for camera buffs more than history fans, though the more the merrier. We look forward to focusing your lens on history.
